As widely expected, Vodafone will become a dominate iPhone supplier following the signing an agreement with Apple today to sell the iPhone in ten of its markets around the globe. Later this year, Vodafone customers in New Zealand, Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, South Africa and Turkey will be able to purchase the iPhone for use on the Vodafone network. It appears that the deal will be exclusive, although there are suspicions that an unlocked model will be made available in some markets (as in France).
