It seems that during the few weeks we were down, a lot has happened in terms of worldwide iPhone carrier agreements. We will discuss the details of Apple’s next generation iPhone in the coming days, but it is important to note that Apple will be staggering worldwide launches following the Worldwide Developers Conference.
Those countries currently selling the iPhone will receive their first shipments at a similar time to AT&T in the United States (where shipments are already arriving on both the West and East coasts). Vodafone is expected to be next off the block with a launch near the end of the month (though there is some speculation that New Zealand and Australian stores will be permitted to begin selling iPhones as of next Tuesday), followed by the remaining, mostly smaller, carriers late July through early August. As widely expected, Vodafone will become a dominate iPhone supplier following the signing an agreement with Apple today to sell the iPhone in ten of its markets around the globe. Later this year, Vodafone customers in New Zealand, Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, South Africa and Turkey will be able to purchase the iPhone for use on the Vodafone network. I began writing this review while on the bus home from university. Having carried a PowerBook in my backpack in previous years, the MacBook Air is certainly a welcomed change. While not a laptop for power users, it is more than adequate for lighter use. But how does it really benchmark against other Macs? Are common criticisms online and in the media founded on real use or simply conjecture? Since the release of the MacBook Air, almost every major publication has released a review of some sort. Instead of evaluating every aspect of the MacBook Air, this review will focus on some of the more common concerns and differences between the Air and its larger counterparts, the MacBook and the MacBook Pro…
