New Zealand to Get iPhone First
June 25th, 2008
Earlier this week, we received word that New Zealand would be the first country in the world to receive Apple’s iPhone 3G. Earlier today, we managed to verify that this is in fact correct, and there will be a launch event at Vodafone’s Auckland CBD store midnight July 10th, with the first iPhone going on sale July 11th 0:00:01 (rather than 6:00PM July 11th as previously predicted based on last year’s iPhone launch).

It is possible that other major cities may also have such events, as might several Mac resellers. However, at this stage we can not confirm any further details. It is also unclear when exactly Vodafone will unveil its pricing structure, but it is expected sometime next week.
We hope to attend the event to bring you the latest and greatest.
