Lava Software is now shipping Kenbushi Pro v7.3, free home server software containing a powerful media entertainment center (like AppleTV), file sharing and data backup functions. New features in this version include a complete Internet TV (video podcast) management system, 30 new Internet TV channels, additional methods to sort and filter Internet TV programs, an expanded setup wizard, stability improvements and a range of bug fixes. Versions are available for Windows and MacOS X.

Apple today released Aperture 2.1, which introduces an open plug-in architecture that makes it easy for photographers to use specialized third party imaging software right from within Aperture. Available today as a free software update, Aperture 2.1 includes the Apple-developed plug-in, Dodge & Burn, which adds brush-based tools for dodge (lighten), burn (darken), contrast, saturation, sharpen and blur. Over the coming months, third party software developers will deliver image editing plug-ins for localized editing, filters and effects, noise analysis and reduction, fisheye lens correction and more…

Limit Point Software announces Seatubes 1.1.6. Seatubes makes it easy to batch download YouTube videos to your Mac as FLV files. Simply drag video URLs into a documents list view, then click the “Download” button. Seatubes is a multi-window application. You can associate different windows with independent collections of videos, and save them to disk for future use. After downloaded the FLV files can be exported to any format supported by QuickTime.
