Apple today introduced Xsan 2, the first major upgrade to its easy to use, high performance, enterprise class Storage Area Network (SAN) file system for Mac OS X. Xsan 2 makes it easier for first time users to set up and quickly deploy a SAN; introduces MultiSAN, allowing users on a single workstation to access multiple SANs at the same time; is fully integrated with Mac OS X Leopard and Mac OS X Server Leopard and is now qualified to work with third-party RAID storage. Administration tools have been completely redesigned in Xsan 2, making it easier than ever to set up and manage a SAN file system…

Ergonis Software today released KeyCue 4.1, the company’s popular keyboard shortcut cheat sheet. KeyCue 4.1 adds two high-contrast large-font themes to make KeyCue even more helpful for visually impaired users. The new version also offers an automatic update checking system, which ensures timely access to updates for future versions. Apple today announced that it has partnered with Fox to bring music fans American Idol performances from season seven of television’s most popular show exclusively on the iTunes Store. Kicking off with the American Idol Top 24 semifinalists this week, customers can purchase music performances for 99 cents per song, and viewers will be able to purchase the full video of Top 12 finalist performances for US$1.99, starting March 11. In addition, beginning today, fans can pre-order performances of their favorite contestants from the iTunes Store, which will be automatically downloaded the day after the show airs…

“Welcome to Macintosh - The documentary for the rest of us” is an official selection in the “The tenth annual Wisconsin Film Festival” April 3rd - 6th, 2008 in Madison, Wisconsin.
